THE ARTISTIC RESIDENCE ARTCHEVAL CELEBRATES ITS 5TH ANNIVERSARY

ARTCHEVAL will be at the Bouvet Ladubay Contemporary Art Center from October 19 to December 29, 2024
Although the exhibition is over 30 years old, the artisitc residency is celebrating its 5th anniversary.
Born in 2020, the genesis of the project was to propose a collective exhibition around the horse by offering artists a place to meet, exchange and support in their reflections and creations. An opportunity also to consolidate Saumur's place as "Equestrian Capital city" and to promote the horse, an emblematic figure of the city.
65 applications were sent to the Saumur Equestrian Committee, organizer of the event, then studied by the members of the jury in response to a call for applications. With an all-male cast, Tristan Chinal-Dargent, Quentin Masse and Arnaud Rochard are the new faces of the ARTCHEVAL 2024 residency.

The vocation of the Centre d'Art Contemporain
Since its opening in 1992, the vocation of the Bouvet Ladubay Contemporary Art Center has been to revive the pleasure and spirit of “The Renaissance” in the very heart of the Loire Valley.
The Contemporary Art Center, which contains 9 exhibition rooms and a hall-library, covers almost 800 m2, on the banks of the Thouet river in Saint Hilaire Saint Florent, nearby Saumur.
