La Nompareille is the name of an extraordinary feast given in Saumur by King St. Louis in June 1241. This collection, created in 1998 by Patrice Monmousseau, evokes this historic event through limited quantities of cuvées aged in oak barrels at the heart of the Bouvet Ladubay cellars.
Deep red colour wine with light purple reflexes. Ripe fruit aromas : a touch of cherry, as well as peppery notes. Most appealing complexity supported by ripe tannins and well-structured finish.
