Anjou Vélo Vintage, Saumur, June 13th and 14th, 2015

The fifth edition of Anjou Vélo Vintage, first vintage cycling event in France, took place this year on June 13th and 14th in Saumur. The 3300 participants and 30000 visitors wandered in bicycles around Saumur through five different routes:
  • "Augustin le Galopin" ("Augustin the rascal"): a 20km wander suitable for children.
  • "Tranquille Emile" ("Chilled Emile"): a 30km stroll on roads by the Loire River. This year again, Bouvet Ladubay, as a loyal partner of the event, had the participants experience the cellars visit cycling and a tasting of its cuvee Bouvet Velodrome Saumur Brut. This cuvee was elaborated in memory of the creation Saumur's velodrome by Etienne Bouvet 121 years ago.
  • "Gaston le Vigneron" ("Gaston the Wine Maker"): a 30km cycling route through the vineyards and the cellars of the famous wine-growing region of Saumur and its 7 PDO.
  • "Lucienne la Châtelaine" ("Lucienne the Chatelain"): a 60km route offering a complete panorama of the Saumur heritage (vines, Loire river and tuffeau stone).
  • "Ferdinand la Rustine" ("Ferdinand the Patch"): the 90km adventure for experienced bicyclers, eager to discover the regional heritage.
