The death of Etienne Bouvet

At the age of 80, Etienne Bouvet passed away at his chateau in Saint-Hilaire on April 26th, 1908.

"A considerable crowd gathered at his final resting place, this energetic man left his successors in an enviable position". (Geoffrey Ratouis, Ogmius or "The Secret of Etienne Bouvet".

Unfortunately, there were no direct descendants to continue the genius of Etienne Bouvet and the legal successors were not able to maintain the excellence of the House. Weakened by the First World War and the economic crisis of 1929, the "Bouvet Empire" was broken up and auctioned in 1932.
