La Cathédrale Engloutie

Patrice Monmousseau entrusted a creation of "La Cathédrale Engloutie" (Underground Cathedral) in the heart of the cellars to Philippe Cormand, a renowned French sculptor. These poetic elements of architecture honor the memory of the workers, masons and sculptors that quarried the original cellars. They also remind us of the famous Abbey of Saint-Hilaire-Saint-Florent built in the 11th century, and also of the aesthetic spirit of building of Etienne Bouvet.
